ITC is a technical cooperation organization whose mission is to
support developing and transition economies, and particularly their
business sectors, in their efforts to realize their full potential
for developing exports and improving import operations with the
ultimate goal of achieving sustainable development. ITC deals specifically
with the operational aspects of trade promotion and export development.
WTO
- World Trade Organization
The World Trade Organization (WTO) is the only global international
organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At
its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk
of the worlds trading nations and ratified in their parliaments.
The goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters,
and importers conduct their business.
IAF
- International Accreditation Forum, Inc.
IAF is the world association of Conformity Assessment Accreditation
Bodies and other bodies interested in conformity assessment. Its
primary function is to develop a world wide program of conformity
assessment which will promote the elimination of non tariff barriers
to trade. IAF's objectives include facilitating trade and commerce,
in accordance with World Trade Organization policies, by establishing
a Multilateral Mutual Recognition Agreement (MLA) based on the equivalence
of accreditation programmes operated by accreditation body members,
verified through peer review among those accreditation body members.
IFAN
- International Federation of Standards Users
The International Federation of Standards Users is an independent,
non profit-making international association of national organizations
for the application of standards, companies, professional and trade
associations, and governmental agencies, concerned with the use
of standards.
