Faurecia inaugurates a new plant in Morocco



Faurecia, one of the world's leading automotive suppliers, inaugurated, on 13 July 2017, a new plant in Morocco for its Seating activity. An official ceremony was held in Salé in the presence of Mr. Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy and Patrick Koller, Chief Executive Officer of Faurecia.

Minister El Alamy declared on this occasion that the industrial partnership with Faurecia is driving development and performance for our automotive industry. By choosing Morocco again as destination, Faurecia is actively participating in the deployment of the vision set out for the sector: which is that of expanding local value chains and densifying our productive fabric”.

Patrick Koller, Chief Executive Officer of Faurecia stated: "Today's event marks a milestone in the history of Faurecia in Morocco, where we have been established since 2009. Morocco is a strategic basis because we are closer to our customers and benefit from a environment that can only encourage the development of our activities. We plan to further strengthen the presence of Faurecia in Morocco by opening a third industrial site in Kenitra for our Interiors and Clean Mobility activities in 2018. "



With the sites of Kenitra and Salé in Morocco, coupled with that of Ben Arous in Tunisia, Faurecia is the leading manufacturer of automotive seat covers in North Africa.
