Ms. Rakiya EDDARHEM, born in 1979 in Laayoune, was appointed on 5 April 2017 by His Majesty the King Mohammed VI may God assist Secretary of State to the Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and the Digital Economy, in charge of Foreign Trade.

Ms. Rakiya EDDARHEM is a graduate of the International Institute of Higher Education in Morocco (IIHEM), Option marketing and communication, and is currently preparing a Master's in Business Administration at the University of Westminster in London.

As a member of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces party since 2009, Ms. Rakiya EDDARHEM was elected member of the House of Representatives (since 2011), representing USFP. She eventually became Vice President of the Foreign Affairs, Islamic Affairs and Moroccans Residing Abroad commission in the House of Representatives (from 2011).

She has been member of the political Bureau of the USFP party since 2013 and participated to several forums and economic conferences in several countries around the world.

Ms. Rakiya EDDARHEM is also active in the associative domaine; she is a member of the Forum of Women Leaders in Politics, Honorary Ambassador of Little Rock, United States and President of the "Wydad Athletic Club" women's football team in Casablanca.
