Self-employement status: Towards a promising future!



Implemented in 2015, by virtue of law No. 114-13, the self-employed status is a recognised legal status granted for any sole trader with a commercial, industrial, craft or service activity, and allows them to benefit from fiscal and social benefits favourable to the development of business, through the following measures:

Siemens Gamesa opened the first plant manufacturing wind turbine blades in Africa and the Middle East

  • An investment amounting to 1.1 billion dirhams.
  • 700 direct and 500 indirect jobs to be created.

On 11 October 2017 the German group Siemens Gamesa officially opened a new plant manufacturing wind turbine blades at an event presided over by Mr Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy and Mr Markus Tacke, CEO of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.

Morocco - UNIDO: a new framework for an innovative and significant partnership

Mr. Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and the Digital Economy, received on Tuesday, 3 October, at the headquarters of the Ministry, Mr. Li Yong, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), who is on a working visit to Morocco from 2 to 5 October 2017.

The Moroccan multi-subsidiary company MEDAFRICA SYSTEMS (MEDASYS), specializing in high added value IT services, inaugurated, at the 19th September 2017 at Temara, the MAROC DATACENTER, the first Cloud Computing platform in francophone Africa on a 100% Moroccan site, designed according to the TIER III standard.

Partnership agreement for the development of the unified portal for the management of user's complaints

The "Easy Export" project agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Universal Postal Union.



Morocco and the Universal Postal Union (UPU) have agreed to implement the "Easy Export" pilot project which aims, amongst other things, to simplify export procedures to support microenterprises and small and medium-sized Moroccan companies, allowing them to export easily and cheaply, as well as give them access to international markets through the postal network of Barid Al Maghrib.

Thales launches a global centre of expertise in Morocco specializing in metal additive manufacturing



On Thursday 07 September 2017 the French group Thales inaugurated its Industrial Competence Centre at the Midparc in Nouaceur, specialised in metal additive manufacturing (3D printing).
