Mr. Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and the Digital Economy, and Thierry Merlot, Vice President and Director General of Hexcel for Europe, Middle East and Asia, signed, on 19 January 2016, a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the creation by Hexcel of a 10,000 m2 site in Casablanca for the production of machined honeycomb. Construction of this 20 million US dollar project will begin in spring 2016. According to Thierry Merlot, the site will be fully operational my mid-2017 and will have more than 200 employees by 2020.

Une lettre d’intention portant sur le développement d’un partenariat avec le groupe chinois ISI Golden Age International Holding Co. Lt, a été signée par M. Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Ministre de l’Industrie, du Commerce, de l’Investissement et de l’Economie Numérique, et M. Li Guisheng, Président dudit groupe, mercredi 23 décembre 2015, au siège du Ministère.

A travers la signature de cette lettre d’intention, le groupe chinois annonce sa volonté de créer une plateforme d’accueil et d’accompagnement visant à faciliter l’implantation des sociétés chinoises au Maroc.

Cérémonie de Pose de la première pierre de la nouvelle usine de la filiale STELIA Aerospace au Maroc

Mr. Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and the Digital Economy, Mr. Cédric Gautier, President of STELIA Aerospace, laid the first stone of the group’s new plant in Casablanca on December 2nd 2016.

Covering an area of over 15,000 m2, this plant will complete the existing infrastructures of STELIA Morocco.

Eventually, 400 to 500 employees will ensure the assembly of complex aeronautical sub-assemblies, such as A320 and A330 fuselage elements, bringing the total number of employees Stelia Aerospace in Morocco to more than 800.

Speaking at the Sino-European Entrepreneurs Summit (SEES) 2015, held on 7 and 8 September in Paris, the Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy, Mr. Moulay Hafid Elalamy stressed that the Plan has identified trades/professions whose development is open to partnership with China and Europe, noting that the Kingdom has the advantage of being a vector of growth in the African continent.
