    Participation of Moroccan tech Startups to Viva Technology and Abfrobytes Tech conference 2019

    The Ministry of Industry, Investment, Trade and the Digital Economy (MIICEN), and the Agency of Digital Development (ADD), in partnership with The National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT), organise the Moroccan participation to the 4th edition of Viva technology fair, and Afrobytes Tech Conference, both taking place in Paris, the first one from May 16th to May 18th in Porte de Versailles, and the second one, on May 15th, in Station F.

     

    What is Vivatech 2019 ?

    VIVA TECH is the world’s rendezvous for startups and innovation. It is dedicated to startups’ growth, digital transformation and innovation, and it gathers leading business managers, investors, students and media from all over the world.

     

    what about AFROBYTES ?

    AFROBYTES Tech Conference is an International conference about African tech. It gathers startups, digital talents, investors, and companies interested on the dynamic of African continent growth.

    Cette participation s’inscrit dans le cadre des efforts déployés par le Maroc en vue de développer son tissu de l’innovation dans le digital, et afin de positionner le Maroc en tant que hub régional.

     

    Why participate?

    Within this initiative, the Agency of Digital Development organise a call for applications, aiming to select 16 innovative tech startups, with great potential, to accompany the Moroccan delagation.

    The selected start-ups will benefit from the following advantages:

    • Coaching and mentoring to support their offer of a "High level" formulation, as well as the commercial and scientific preparation for their participation to the fair;
    • Programme de mise en relation avec les principaux donneurs d'ordres mondiaux présents au salon
    • Enhancement know-how program (conference, show-case, side event, dedicated space and signage to the Morocco pavilion...);

     

    Eligibility criteria

    This “Road to Vivatech 2019” selection program is intended exclusively for technological stakeholders meeting the following criteria:

    • Activity domiciled in Morocco regardless of the legal status (Auto Entrepreneur Status – PLC - LCC - Association – Economic Interest Group).
    • Propose innovative and high added value products in one of the followings domains of application: GreenTech, HealthTech, EdTech, TransporTech or particularly in Artificial Intelligence ;
    • Fluency in both written and oral English (main language used at the fair).

    As part of the selection process in place, members of the Scientific Committee "Road to Vivatech 2019" reserve the right to deny a proposal if it doesn't comply with the aforementioned criteria.
